Julia + Greg’s family

After Cyclone Tam swept through over the Easter break, the skies finally cleared just enough for us to head down to the beach. I met up with Julia and Greg’s family at dusk, where the beach was still looking wild and woolly—windswept dunes, scattered driftwood, and moody skies made for a striking backdrop.

Their four kids—Cooper, Mackenzie, Fletcher, and Lachlan—were full of energy, laughter, and sibling fun. There’s something so special about photographing families who truly enjoy being together. The love, laughter and the funny moments made this session so full of life.

Matarangi holds a special place in their hearts, with many holidays spent here over the years, and it was clear how at home they all felt by the sea. We even managed to capture a height check! A perfect little moment that says so much about this season in their lives.
